Some friends from the Bilingual Teacher Clubhouse and I have joined up to celebrate Independence Day…the one celebrated in the U.S. in this case! We’re sharing free resources on our blogs, and you have until July 6th to pick yours up!
Since I’ve been talking about the impact of choice in the classroom, I want to share a resource that puts the research into practice! And, how could it not be, it’s World Cup themed! It’s a project for researching one of the 16 countries that made it to the second round of the tournament. It’s not one of those that requires students to copy boring information from the encyclopedia (capital, population, currency, religion…). It requires a bit more work from the students, but they’re going to love it! For details on how to implement this lesson in your classroom, check out the third part of the choice in the classroom series.
Enjoy, and have a wonderful Fourth of July!
